Battery-Assisted Pixels (BAP) don’t need Bridges or any other source of radio waves to harvest energy from. As long as there is a receiver, they will work. All they require is a device with a Bluetooth radio to read their transmission. Any phone, Bluetooth gateway or Wi-Fi access point can read the broadcasts from a BAP without the need to configure or install devices that can generate energy to power a tag. Converting a new Bluetooth device into a BAP reader is entirely a software configuration or software update process - there are no hardware dependencies. This significantly reduces the friction associated with reading Wiliot Pixel data.
